United Kingdom Bingo Association Backs Smoking Ban

A previous vote in the House of Commons had showed that many are leaning towards approving a partial smoking ban, but the Bingo Association commented that their organization has always been supportive of the planned totak smoking ban.

The association acknowledges that the smoking ban would cause a lot of difficulty for the gaming industry, especially for the small bingo clubs in making the change from a smoking establishment to a non-smoking one.

The Bingo Association Chairman, Sir Peter Fry, commented that they have always upheld the interests of their patronizers and truly want them to be strong and live a healthy,long life, but this does not change the current reality that a total smoking ban in its infancy, will be one of the hardest and most difficult challenges and upheaval that the gaming industry has had to face in these trying times.

He added that the whole planned going ahead will need a sympathetic treatment from the authorities regarding regulation and taxes, if they as a whole, will have a chance to survive and ultimately in the long term, succeed.
